5th of July Cleanup

On the 5th of July, our beaches need a good cleaning after the Independence Day celebrations from the night before. Show your patriotic spirit, and how much you care for our precious environment, by helping us gather the fireworks and other debris that will be left behind. Now that we are in our rainy season, it is extremely important to collect this trash before it has a chance to pollute our waterways. Help us keep our environment and waterways free from this harmful litter.

Keep Lee County Beautiful will provide you with all of the supplies needed, you just need to show up and be ready to help make a difference!

Volunteers of all ages are welcome and any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business, or government entity can participate.

Due to extensive damage and ongoing demolition/construction to Fort Myers Beach this event will not be taking place in 2023. Please check back next year. You can also visit our events already planned for the Fall i.e. the International Coastal Cleanup and Monofilament Madness.
