Our Mission:

To inspire, educate, and engage the Lee County community in improving, beautifying, and protecting our environment.

Beautification

Volunteers planted 800 sea oats at Alison Hagerup Beach on Captiva Island to help stabilize the shoreline. Volunteer today to help KLCB.

Each year, we work with thousands of volunteers on beautification and greening programs that impact Lee County. Our actions lead to native species plantings, sustainable community gardens including fruit and vegetable gardens, tree plantings, urban forestry, fighting blight, and more– all of which results in positive, lasting impact in communities across the country.

Ending Litter

According to the Ocean Conservancy cigarette butts are the #1 type of litter collected each year WORLD WIDE. Let's do our part!

Litter is more than just a blight on our landscape. Litter is costly to clean up, impacts our quality of life and economic development, and eventually ends up in our waterways and oceans. Today, we are as committed as ever to providing people with the resources to help prevent litter with the ultimate goal of helping to end littering in America.

Waste Reduction

By reducing or eliminating the generation of harmful wastes, we support efforts to promote a more sustainable society.

Many of us don’t think about how much we throw away each day and where it ends up. We’ve become disconnected from the waste stream and the processes involved because it has become so easy – throw something away and never see it again!  Keep Lee County Beautiful strives to make others aware of the implications of creating waste & identifies the ways we can all work together to reduce waste & recycle more.
